CCLC Leadership

Roxanne G. Tena-Nelson, JD, MPH is Executive Vice President of the Continuing Care Leadership Coalition (CCLC), which is affiliated with the Greater New York Hospital Association (GNYHA). Ms. Tena-Nelson provides a range of advocacy and consultative services on behalf of not-for-profit and public continuing care providers. Focused on long term care policy (LTC) issues, Ms. Tena-Nelson provides frequent commentary on LTC regulation and legislation related to quality improvement and government reimbursement.

Serving the LTC provider community and the individuals receiving care through CCLC member organizations, Ms. Tena-Nelson leads CCLC’s activities related to quality improvement, home and community-based services, health information technology, LTC reform, corporate compliance practices, and other legal and regulatory issues. Prior to CCLC and GNYHA, she held policy-related positions at Beth Abraham Health Services’ Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), a community-based program for nursing home-eligible individuals, the Legal Department at UPMC in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the World Health Organization’s Aging and Health Program in Geneva, Switzerland, and the Filipino Community Law Center in Seattle, Washington. She received her JD/MPH from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and Graduate School of Public Health, and completed a BA in international relations at The Johns Hopkins University.
